YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 15, ARMENPRESS: An informational seminar on ‘Compulsory Insurance in Armenia’ was held today at Yerevan State University. The initiative was taken by the YSU faculty of mathematics and mechanics, chair of actuarial mathematics and the ‘Armenian Association of Actuaries’ NGO.
According to Vardan Dabaghyan, chairman of ‘Armenian Association of Actuaries’ NGO, from the 3 types of car insurance – CASCO, accident and third-person liability insurance – only the third one will become compulsory in Armenia. As to its importance, Vardan Dabaghyan said vehicle insurance will promote the extension of Armenia’s insurance market, development of a civilized way of arguments’ solution and creation of additional vacancies.
‘After the adoption of the corresponding law, the number of insurance agents in our country increased up to 4000,’ Vardan Dabaghyan said.
